Long Island New York Is Currently Under The Warning Of A Tropical Storm Alert!
According to comment recently made by Da’Vel Johnson of the Long Island, Upton office who is a National Weather Service Meteorologist he announce that “We will have heavy rain between 1 and 3 inches with locally higher amounts possible; that is the primary hazard,”
Da’Vel Johnson from the National Weather Service further commenting in regards to Long Island specially with this statement: “It’s going to be a lot of rain, a lot of wind…those are the main concerns.
The National Weather Service warning sent out an email stating: “the main threat with this system will be locally heavy rainfall and potential for flash flooding Friday into Friday night.”
Winds and gust are estimated to come today, Friday and Saturday.
Further Long Island Weather reports disclose their will be wind speeding from thirty to thirty five miles per hour and in addition of gusts reaching up to fifty miles per hour in speed!
Elizabeth Flagler who is a representative for PSEG Long Island said that “company officials were monitoring the forecast Thursday night and said employees are always prepared to work 16-hour shifts.”
Lauran Curran who is the Nassau County Executive stated on Thursday, which was yesterday of the warning of this tropical storm heading towards Long Island.
